Most recently, Canon has added a series of printers called PIXMA - the majority of devices in this category are “all in one” printing modules. The Canon PIXMA photo printer usually includes some of the most high tech and innovative printer features available on the market, but at a price that is extremely affordable - the average Joe can afford these features that used to be limited to huge corporations.
PIXMA was started by Canon a few years ago as a new brand of printers and multi function devices. The goal that Canon had in mind for this branch of products is to have well designed, powerful, and affordable printing products available for consumers to purchase.
Canon has combined three printing technologies (EOS Digital, Bubble Jet Print, and imageRUNNER) to maximize quality and performance speed. Also, Duplex printing (printing on both sides of the paper) is shared among this family of products.
